Strada Fooda brings new food truck concept to Südiareal Hochdorf
Hochdorf – On May 4, 2026, a new food truck location, “Strada Fooda”, will launch in the Südiareal in Hochdorf. Developed by IDEE SEETAL as part of Switzerland’s New Regional Policy (NRP), the concept is designed for commuters, employees and students in the area.
With Strada Fooda, IDEE SEETAL is introducing a simple and accessible food offering that aligns with the ongoing transformation of the Südiareal. The concept is based on a survey conducted in the Hochdorf employment area, which highlighted demand for convenient and easily accessible catering options. The aim is to activate the area and provide new impulses for the local business environment.
The project will start with a deliberately lean soft opening, featuring a single food truck. It offers fresh, down-to-earth meals suitable for lunch breaks, after-work dining or quick take-away. Located on Siedereistrasse, directly opposite Hochdorf railway station, the site is easily accessible by public transport and car.
Strada Fooda is designed as a phased development. The concept will be tested in everyday operations and gradually expanded into the planned «Strada Fooda Lounge», which will include multiple food trucks and seating areas.
