Strategic Thinking in the Age of AI: Human vs. Machine at the Business Strategy Summit 2025

Lucerne/Rotkreuz - How is artificial intelligence changing strategic work in business? The Business Strategy Summit 2025 by HSLU explores the evolving role of humans and machines in shaping business strategies – with expert insights, a live challenge, and keynote speaker Nicole Büttner.

Artificial intelligence has become a fixture in our daily lives – automating routine tasks, optimising processes, and increasing efficiency. But how does it influence the most complex domain of management: strategic decision-making? Can humans still outperform machines when it comes to developing successful business strategies?

These and other questions will take centre stage at the Business Strategy Summit 2025, hosted by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), taking place on Friday, 4 July 2025, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM in Rotkreuz, followed by a networking apéro.

A highlight of the event will be the «Human vs. Machine» challenge: Thierry Kneissler, Co-Founder and former CEO of TWINT, will go head-to-head with an AI tool developed by HSLU in collaboration with MinimalTools. Who will devise the more effective strategy – human expertise or artificial intelligence?

Industry leaders and academic experts will share fresh perspectives on the future of strategic leadership in the age of AI. Among them is Nicole Büttner, entrepreneur, investor, and well-known from Die Höhle der Löwen Schweiz (Swiss edition of Dragons’ Den). She is considered one of the leading voices on practical AI applications in the German-speaking business world.
