Studer is Distillery of the Year

Escholzmatt/Seewen - Distillerie Studer has been named Swiss Distillery of the Year at this year's DistiSuisse competition. The coveted title was awarded to seven other distilleries, two of whom, like Distillerie Studer, are from the canton of Lucerne.

Distillerie Studer, which is based in Escholzmatt, has won the coveted «Swiss Distillery of the Year 2023» award at the DistiSuisse biennial competition, announced a statement. Studer and seven other participants came out top of a total of 135 distilleries and 790 different spirits.

Eight of Studer's products were awarded a gold medal, according to the statement. The distillery is particularly proud that its Swiss Highland Dry Gin took first place among 111 competitors in the Juniper Spirits category. Titlis Gin, also produced by Studer, was able to claim its gold medal from the previous DistiSuisse awards. The fact that more products than ever before were entered into this year's competition shows how highly Swiss spirits are valued, commented Max Kopp, president of DistiSuisse, in the statement.

The other award winners from the canton of Lucerne are DIWISA AG (Willisau) and Amstutz Manufaktur (Rothenburg).
