SUISAG and Suisseporcs complete move into new headquarters

Sempach LU – The central service and competence center of the Swiss pork industry, SUISAG, and the Association of Swiss Pork Producers, Suisseporcs, have moved into their new premises. The Sempach-West porcine health service will also be based here from now on.

After a build time lasting 14 months, the employees of SUISAG and Suisseporcs have finally completed the move from No. 8 Allmend in Sempach in the canton of Lucerne to No. 10 on the same street. According to a press release, the employees have left behind their “outdated” offices in exchange for 50 modern workstations. The Sempach-West porcine health service is now also based at the new premises. One of the floors in the new three-story building is being set aside with a view to renting this space out.

There is a cafeteria and meeting area located on the ground floor. These facilities “allow us to host larger events and in so doing familiarize the public with the benefits of Swiss pork production and quality of meat”, according to Meinrad Pfister, Suisseporcs President.

It is not only in a size comparison that the new building compares favorably against its predecessor, the press release explains. The pink tones and earthy colors used in the building façade, which was constructed from 100 percent Swiss-sourced wood, serve to “underline the connection to both the pig and agriculture”.

SUISAG is delighted with an architectural result that “supports the performance, innovation and wellbeing of its employees”, explains Leo Müller, Chairman of the Board of Directors at SUISAG. He adds: “In this way, we shall remain an attractive proposition to experts that come to work for us from abroad”.
