Swisscom set to acquire Lucerne digital agency

Bern/Lucerne - Swisscom is taking over the Lucerne-based digital agency JLS Digital from the Renaissance Investment Foundation. In so doing, the telecommunications provider is aiming to improve the digital experience of its customers.

Swisscom is taking over the Lucerne-based firm JLS Digital, details of which can be found in a press release. Founded in 2001, the company specializes in the development and operation of cross-channel digital customer experiences as well as interactive advertising and information systems. With this takeover, Swisscom intends to offer improved digital experiences for business customers in particular.

At the moment, JLS Digital is owned by the Renaissance Investment Foundation. According to the press release, it regards the Swisscom takeover as an “excellent opportunity for JLS Digital Ltd. to accelerate its development and market penetration”. The management team of JLS Digital is also aware of these opportunities and supports the acquisition.

Swisscom’s digital team will be bolstered by the addition of over 90 experts following the completion of the acquisition. The press release additionally states that the Management Board of JLS Digital will remain unchanged following the takeover both in terms of composition and areas of responsibility, although Swisscom representatives will be appointed to positions on the Board of Directors.
