Wascosa AG has developed the Tanpps freight wagon together with WBN Waggonbau Niesky GmbH from Germany and the raw material group K+S. According to a press release, it has been designed for transporting goods that are sensitive to moisture such as fertilizer and salts. It has a special internal coating to protect against corrosion. Moreover, it is distinguished by its loading and unloading system, which means that freight can be unloaded both from the side and from the middle. A special coating with a low wear rate and good sliding properties also ensures rapid unloading of the wagon.
This joint development from Wascosa and its partners was a success: According to information from Wascosa, the last out of a total of 404 new wagons in the series was put into operation in May.
