Thermoplan wins best supplier award from McDonald’s
Weggis/Las Vegas - Thermoplan has received the Global Supplier Restaurant Experience Award from McDonald’s. The best supplier award was presented at the Worldwide Convention 2026 in Las Vegas.
Thermoplan, which is headquartered in Weggis in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, has been named as the winner of the Global Supplier Restaurant Experience Award by McDonald’s. According to a LinkedIn post, the award was presented in recognition of the close collaboration and partnership between the globally operating Lucerne-based manufacturer of fully automatic coffee machines and McDonald’s.
The prize was presented at this year’s Worldwide Convention in Las Vegas. The trade fair, which is exclusively for manufacturers and suppliers, took place from June 1-4, 2026. It is held every two years, with the previous event having been hosted by Barcelona, Spain.
Thermoplan took part in the Worldwide Convention as an independent exhibitor for the first time. As part of the McCafé & Beverage launch, the company was «one of the central coffee highlights of the event», as detailed in a separate statement. This included 22 BW4 CTS machines and other BW4 CTS solutions for the NEXT restaurant concept of the future. The Lucerne-based company was seeking to demonstrate «how efficient and flexible the modern coffee business is today».
