Tilbago takes on sponsorship of bees to celebrate birthday
Lucerne/Goldau - The debt collection company tilbago has signed up for a ten-year sponsorship of two bee colonies at the Goldau Nature and Animal Park. This coincides with the Lucerne-based company’s tenth anniversary.
To mark its tenth birthday, tilbago is looking to give something back to the region and set out its stall for sustainable responsibility, biodiversity and knowledge transfer, as detailed in a statement. As the debt collection firm also sees parallels between its own technologies and the way bees are organized in colonies, it has chosen to sponsor bees. This arrangement covers two bee colonies at the Goldau Nature and Animal Park and will run for a decade.
According to the company, the project not only supports the protection of bees and promotes biodiversity, but also imparts knowledge and helps to sustainably strengthen habitats. «For millions of years, bees have demonstrated the power of intelligent systems, collaboration and efficiency», comments Prof. Dr. Harley Krohmer, CMO and co-founder of tilbago. Similarly, tilbago is said to have demonstrated «how the intelligent integration of technologies can make processes more effective over the past ten years».
To mark the anniversary, tilbago organized a celebratory event for employees and their families at the Goldau Nature and Animal Park. A highlight of the event was visiting the two bee colonies now sponsored by the company, while a guided tour provided insights into the importance of the species, their habitats and the work undertaken by the animal park.
Since being founded in 2016, tilbago has been developing electronic solutions to simplify the processing of debt collection cases online. «A colony of bees is a self-regulating system of various stakeholders who perform their tasks in such a way as to achieve an optimal outcome», explains Oliver Wolf, COO and co-founder of the company. He adds: «As we look toward our future debt collection solution, which is built around agentic AI, we take huge inspiration from the way a bee colony functions».
