Two women and a man to lead Messe Luzern
Lucerne - Fabienne Meyerhans took over management of Messe Luzern AG in the role of CEO on July 1. From October, she is set to be joined on the executive management team by Noëlle Bucher, who will oversee the trade fairs division. Silvan Auf der Maur will continue to be responsible for the area of events and operations.
The executive management team of Messe Luzern AG has been restructured. Since July 1, it has been led by Fabienne Meyerhans in the role of CEO, who has been a member of the executive management team for ten years. She succeeds Markus Lauber in this role, who alongside Chairman of the Board Urs Hunkeler is retiring from the operational business after 35 years.
According to a statement, Noëlle Bucher, 40, is set to join the executive management team in mid-October. Bucher, who will assume responsibility for the trade fairs division at Messe Luzern, has headed up the Health and Social Affairs Department of the Canton of Lucerne for the past five years as Department Secretary. Previously, Bucher worked at the Lucerne-based political studies organization Interface and has also been active in political circles, representing the Green Party in both the Lucerne City Parliament (Grosser Stadtrat) and in the Cantonal Parliament of Lucerne (Kantonsrat). «We were keen to bring someone from outside the company to work alongside and supplement the long-standing members of our executive management team. Noelle will add valuable new perspectives and experience», as Urs Hunkeler, Chairman of the Board of Directors, comments in the statement.
Silvan Auf der Maur has been part of the executive management team for a decade already. He will continue to oversee the events and operations division.
Fabienne Meyerhans is looking forward to working with the new operational management team. «Together with the team, my aim will be to continue positioning Messe Luzern as an expert partner for the mobilization and strengthening of markets and industries», she states.
