Verlingue acquires RT Global Insurance from Portugal
Kriens - Verlingue has agreed a deal to acquire the Portuguese insurance broker RT Global Insurance. The takeover is designed to strengthen the growth of the Adelaide Group subsidiary, which specializes in corporate insurance policies. Moreover, Verlingue will be updating its brand profile.
Verlingue has taken over the Portuguese property and liability insurance specialist RT Global Insurance, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by the Lucerne-based insurance broker, which is part of the Adelaide Group. The takeover is intended to strengthen the growth of the company, which specializes in the area of corporate insurance. Two years ago, Verlingue acquired the Portuguese firm Luso Atlantica. “Depending on market opportunities”, further acquisitions are under consideration, the company writes in the press release.
Over the long term, Verlingue is striving to achieve market leadership in the European corporate insurance sector. “We are an independent, family-run firm and intend to preserve our identity and expertise in addition to growing internationally”, explain Benjamin and Jacques Verlingue, both of whom sit on the Board of Directors of Verlingue AG, in the press release. “We want to be ambitious while also offering an alternative to other, more global or finance-focused players”, they add.
In the same press release, Verlingue announces the introduction of a new visual identity, which will be reflected in a corporate philosophy under the slogan “Protecting today. Imagining tomorrow.”, the company writes. This new brand profile is to be rolled out across the whole of Europe at the same time. “Our mission has a future, because in an increasingly unstable world, risk management contributes to economic and social progress”, explains Marco Buholzer, CEO of Verlingue AG. “It enables us to proactively manage risk, launch innovations and closely monitor investment and entrepreneurship”, he adds.
