Visienco, based at Technopark Lucerne, was named the winner of the biotech category in the Top100 Public Voting 2025. The award was presented as part of the 15th anniversary edition of the Top100 Swiss Startup Award. Visienco has set itself the goal of making organoids clinically reliable on a large scale. Visienco was born from a multi-year collaboration with the Centre Suisse d’électronique et de microtechnique (CSEM). It commercializes AI-powered automation that enables consistent sorting and classification with high throughput in organoid research. Visienco's ORGADROID platform uses bright-field imaging and deep learning to classify and gently transfer organoids, improving reproducibility and enabling more comprehensive, data-driven analyses to reduce dependence on animal testing.
The Top100 public vote runs in parallel to the Top100 Swiss Startup Award’s expert jury selection process and recognizes one startup per industry. Companies in 10 different industries were honored. According to the statement, Technopark Lucerne sees Visienco's award as testament to the Lucerne region's ability to promote groundbreaking and innovative companies.
