Young Talent Competes in Rotkreuz: World Robot Olympiad at HSLU

Rotkreuz / Lucerne - On May 9, 2026, the campus of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Rotkreuz will become a meeting point for young technology enthusiasts. At the regional competition of the World Robot Olympiad, teams will compete with self-developed robots.

The World Robot Olympiad is one of the best-known youth competitions in robotics, computer science and technology. Children and young people aged 6 to 19 develop their own solutions in teams, program robots and solve challenging tasks under time pressure. Creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills are at the heart of the competition.

The regional competition in Rotkreuz will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the HSLU Suurstoffi campus. The best teams will qualify for the Swiss national final on June 20, 2026, in Hausen.

Initiatives like this are highly relevant for the Lucerne business region. Innovative companies in the area depend on highly skilled professionals in technology, digitalisation and engineering. Competitions such as the World Robot Olympiad help spark early interest in STEM subjects and support the next generation of talent.

Wirtschaftsförderung Luzern is therefore proud to support the event as a partner. In doing so, it underlines its commitment to talent development, innovation and the long-term competitiveness of the Lucerne business location.
