Geuensee

The municipality of Geuensee is situated in the upper Suren Valley. With a resident population of 2400 living on the village's sunny southwestern slopes and in the hamlets of Krumbach and Hunzikon, access to the surrounding region and beyond is easy thanks to rail and motorway links.

Gisikon

Gisikon is very well connected, lying as it does on the Lucerne-Zug-Zurich axis with a nearby motorway access point. Gisikon enjoys particularly attractive views of the mountains, while its location on the River Reuss means it benefits from a varied, highly diverse natural environment.

Greppen

Anyone looking for a peaceful, wonderfully located spot near the lake and for whom a good standard of living and quality of life are important will feel right at home in Greppen, where summer days are longer thanks to the way the sun's rays reflects on the lake.

Grossdietwil

Grossdietwil is around 10 km2 in size and occupies a central location in the midst of the idyllically beautiful Rot Valley, right on the border with Canton Bern and close to that of Canton Aargau. This rural municipality offers attractive residential opportunities and an unspoilt countryside.

Grosswangen

Grosswangen occupies a central spot in Canton Lucerne within the catchment area of Sursee. The municipality is 19.70 km2 in size. Its central location means that all parts of Switzerland are within relatively easy reach. Please visit its website for details.

Hasle

Hasle is a municipality with a rural character set within the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve and offering great residential opportunities in the village itself or in the nearby Heiligkreuz district. Heiligkreuz is a well-known place of pilgrimage with mystical significance which attracts visitors from all over.

Hergiswil

The rural municipality of Hergiswil bei Willisau, one of Canton Lucerne's largest, lies within the Napf region. Amongst its strengths are its value-for-money cost of living and nearby outdoor recreational opportunities.

Hildisrieden

Hildisrieden is situated above the fog line between Lakes Sempach and Baldegg. On account of its south-facing slopes offering magnificent views of the Alps, Hildisrieden grew from being a pretty farming village to a popular residential municipality.

Hitzkirch

The municipality of Hitzkirch lies within a unique and unspoilt landscape between two lakes, Baldegg and Hallwil, and two ranges of hills, Lindenberg and Erlosen. Stand-out aspects include the tranquillity and naturalness of the residential areas and the many recreational opportunities in the nearby glorious countryside The municipality's dominating feature has to be Heidegg Castle, but equally appealing are the baroque Church of St. Pancras and neighbouring commandery of Teutonic knights. The municipality is also proud of the Intercantonal Police Academy of Hitzkirch (IPH), which relocated here.

Hochdorf

Hochdorf looks back on an exceptional past while making progress going forward. This is a part of the See Valley that offers perfect living, working and recreation opportunities. Hochdorf assumes a leading role here. The See Valley is becoming an attractive place to live and work. Hohenrain

Hohenrain is set in lovely countryside on the southern slopes of Mount Lindenberg. The attractive landscape of the See Valley offers an outstanding quality of life and standard of living. Nestling between Lake Baldegg and the heights of Mount Lindenberg, Hohenrain embraces a number of villages and hamlets.

Honau

Honau, one of Canton Lucerne's smallest municipalities, is conveniently situated between the motorway access points at Gisikon and Rotkreuz. Freestanding plots with space for 5-8 commercial buildings are still available in the former quarry. In 1988, the first large commercial enterprise moved here in the form of the ESA retailer cooperative of the Autogewerbe-Verbandes der Schweiz (AGVS). They were followed by Bossart Emballagen AG in mid 2000, and December 2006 saw the opening here of the 23rd branch of Aldi Suisse AG.

Horw

Horw, on Lake Lucerne, is family-friendly, unique and multifaceted! As an outlying municipality of Lucerne, it offers an urban centre, lakeside residential opportunities, the Kastanienbaum peninsula, St. Niklausen and the flank of Mount Pilatus. Life is good in Horw!

Inwil

Inwil is an idyllically located place not far from the city of Lucerne offering a wide choice of activities for people of all ages. The village is easy to get to thanks to excellent public transport links and is just a few minutes' drive from the Gisikon and Buchrain (due 2011) motorway access points. With its motto "With each other not alongside each other", Inwil invites everyone to sample its many advantages.

Knutwil

The municipality of Knutwil, with its neighbourhoods of St. Erhard, Knutwil and Bad Knutwil, is bordered by the River Sure, Lake Mauen and the town of Sursee. It offers privileged residential opportunities with views of Lake Mauen, Lake Sempach and the Alps. In short, Knutwil features family-friendly, rural living that's within easy reach of urban centres.

Kriens

Kriens is the friendly municipality between Mount Sonnenberg and Mount Pilatus. Canton Lucerne's third-largest municipality, it offers an exciting blend of urban flair and rural idyll. When it comes to living, working and enjoying life, nowhere is closer to Mount Pilatus than Kriens.

Luthern

Luthern lies amid the rolling hills of the Napf region. Its unspoilt, well-tended countryside offers recreational opportunities for walkers and cyclists alike. The historic village centre is highly recommended, as is the famous place of pilgrimage, Luthern Bad, with the healing waters of Maria Heilbronn.

Luzern

The city of Lucerne is the centre of Central Switzerland socially, economically and culturally. Thanks to its uniquely picturesque location nestling between gentle hills on the shores of beautiful Lake Lucerne the city draws visitors from the world over, but also offers the local population all the advantages of urban life.

Malters

Malters is an attractive, interesting, lively and progressive municipality. Lying in the heart of Central Switzerland, it nestles between Mount Pilatus and Switzerland's Mittelland. Malters is just ten train minutes from Lucerne.

Mauensee

Mauensee is a rural residential municipality offering peace, lovely views and wonderful countryside. Its landmark is the castle in the middle of Lake Mauen. The unspoilt environment, beautiful lake and proximity to the town of Sursee all contribute to the high standard of living.

Meggen

Meggen, the village next to the city of Lucerne, is a great place to live. Friendly, pretty and progressive, it has all the charm of an idyllic lakeside resort. Offering the lowest tax regime in Canton Lucerne and attractive residential opportunities, Meggen is very much a preferred municipality.

Meierskappel

This municipality, idyllically situated on Lake Zug, is imbued with a rural character thanks to its unspoilt countryside, manageable size and active clubs and societies scene. Enhancing the quality of life here is the easy access residents have to Zug, Zurich and Lucerne.

Menznau

The municipality of Menznau is composed of three autonomous villages: Menznau, Menzberg and Geiss. Menznau village is the administrative centre and contains the upper school, the station and a number of service enterprises. Mount Menzberg is above the fog line and is a great place for recreation, while Geiss offers unspoilt nature. The municipality lies at the gateway to the interior of the canton and stretches all the way to the limits of the Entlebuch region.

Nebikon

Nebikon boasts around 2300 residents and lies in Canton Lucerne's Wigger Valley. It takes less than an hour to reach Lucerne city, Basel or Zurich by train or A2 motorway. Nebikon offers a rural environment with an exceptional quality of life and low taxes.
