Vitznau

Vitznau is idyllically located on Lake Lucerne at the foot of Mount Rigi. This blissful residential village is popular with tourists and benefits from a southern climate hence the Mediterranean plants seen dotted about. Vitznau is also the terminus of the Rigi Railway, which has been regularly plying its way up the Queen of the Mountains since 1875.

Wauwil

Wauwil is in the middle of Canton Lucerne on the southern flank of Mount Santenberg. It looks over the extensive Wauwilermoos plain and the panorama of the Central Swiss and Bernese Alps. Wauwil was the first Swiss municipality to be awarded the "child-friendly" label by UNICEF Switzerland. The Wauwilermoos plain is inscribed in the inventory of nationally significant water and migratory bird reserves.

Weggis

The ancient Rigi Path has been renamed Mark Twain Trail in honour of the American writer of travelogues, who thought Weggis "the loveliest place in the world" in 1897. The municipality comprises 4200 residents, 90 village clubs and societies, sweet chestnut trees, fig trees, a lakeside promenade and low taxes!

Werthenstein

Werthenstein lies on the main Lucerne-Bern road axis and is quick to get to from Lucerne. Residents enjoy the proximity of the city combined with the rural character and the attractive prices.

Wikon

Wikon is an up-and-coming municipality boasting great residential opportunities and a wealth of natural attractions, plus good public transport links. The thriving village has a primary school that helps make Wikon a wonderful and friendly place to live in the heart of Switzerland.

Willisau

Willisau lies at the foot of the Napf landscape and is the economic and cultural hub of the region. The comprehensive educational offer and numerous recreational opportunities help enhance the town's appeal. A rich cultural life and excellent road and rail links add to the high quality of life.

Wolhusen

Wolhusen is a dynamic municipality of 4300 residents offering excellent road/rails links and healthcare (hospital, nursing home, care home), comprehensive schooling and recreational opportunities, unspoilt nature and innovative companies.

Zell

The municipality of Zell offers quiet residential districts with plenty of space for all the generations. The variety of retail outlets, the regional sixth form centre and the modern Violino care and nursing home contribute to Zell's appeal.
